After taking history and completing a physical exam including an orthopedic and neurological exam, we develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment plan which includes non-invasive therapies such as spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapies, exercise rehabilitation, electrotherapies, heat and cold therapies, and nutrition counseling.
Based on the need and tolerance of the patient, we utilize high velocity low amplitude, as well as gentle non-force spinal and extremities manipulation/mobilization.

Backpain and neck pain becoming more common in children and adolescents
Back and neck pain was once seen purely as an affliction of older people. However becoming more common among children and adolescents. A recent Australian study which followed 434 young people from age 13 to 17 years over five years revealed that low back pain was common and increased with age for both boys and girls. Each year they were 40% higher than the previous year. There are a number of reasons for this including acquired poor posture in early age due to increased use of computers, watching TV, and playing computer games which have been linked with neck, back pain and headaches. Poorly designed school furniture and inappropriate backpack use could also be to blame.
Exercise program to help with proper posture
Fortunately, there are a number of things that can be done to reduce the risk of suffering neck and back pain. Children and adolescents need to be checked and evaluated for postural abnormalities. Acquiring and maintaining proper posture during daily activities is a skill that children need to learn and develop in early age establishing good postural habit for their life. I have designed an easy to do exercise program for kids and adults and organized it in a series of 6 to 7 one on one lesson plans so it can be taught in my office. The exercises are easy to remember and you will be given written guides that you can follow at home.
